College for All Texans - a site maintained by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board to serve as a resource for information about access to higher education. Highlights from this site include:
  • Tuition Exemption for Foster Care Alumni - details about the state exemption for tuition and fees at public institutions of higher education for students who were in foster care when they turned 18 years of age.
  • Tuition Exemption for Adopted Students formerly in Foster Care - details about the state exemption for tuition and fees at public institutions of higher education for adopted students who were in foster care.

Education and Training Voucher Program - a Federal entitlement providing foster youth alumni with up to $5,000 in assistance for post-secondary related expenses administered in Texas by BCFS

TEA Foster Care & Student Success - office within the Texas Education Agency focused on providing educational information and assistance to current and former foster youth.   • Educational Financial Help- an excellent overview of financial aid, assistance, and help for foster care alumni along with a lengthy list of contacts at various higher education institutions across the state.

The Supreme Court of Texas - the mission of the Permanent Judicial Commission for Children, Youth and Families is to strengthen courts for children, youth and families in the Texas child-protection system and thereby improve the safety, permanency, and well-being of children. The Commission authored a detailed report in 2012, The Texas Blueprint: Transforming Education Outcomes For Children & Youth In Foster Care.
